Capcom considers remaking Resident Evil games that are not included in the main series
Capcom has already presented several Resident Evil remakes and it must be said that they were received at least positively (except for the slightly controversial RE 3 remake). And the fans have a logical question: will we get remakes of some of the non-numbered Resident Evil titles, especially those that are included in the official canon? As is often the case with Capcom, this option is not excluded at all.
Here's What We Know
During a recent Q&A session with shareholders, although Capcom avoided giving a specific answer, the company stated that it is "in discussions" regarding future games:
"We are carrying out discussions regarding the future expansion of this series so it can be enjoyed by a wide audience"
Of course, for a long time there has been a high demand for a remake of Resident Evil: Code - Veronica, especially considering the fact that the game, except for the name, is actually Resident Evil 3, with the real RE 3 being a sort of side story. However, Capcom has stated several times in recent years, including as recently as last year, that it has no plans to remake Code - Veronica.
There is also Resident Evil Zero, which is not the most popular game in the franchise, but is definitely a key project. Given that the remake of Resident Evil 4 was released earlier this year, perhaps Resident Evil 5 will be next in line - although another remake of the original Resident Evil would not seem out of place for fans of the series.
