The developers of Final Fantasy XVI are already working on ideas for DLC, thanks to the high level of player interest in the new instalment of Square Enix's iconic franchise

One of the main talking points of the Final Fantasy XVI advertising campaign was the emphasis on the fact that gamers would be treated to a standalone game, requiring no add-ons or updates.

Shortly before the release, Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki Yoshida said that if gamers are interested in continuing or expanding the story, Square Enix will consider options to add new content to the game.

Here's What We Know

The game has received high ratings, excellent sales and generally warm reception from the public, and in a recent interview on GamerBraves channel Naoki Yoshida said that the developers are already thinking about how to enrich the already colourful story, and most likely Final Fantasy XVI will get DLC in the future.

At the moment, the development team is concentrating on porting Final Fantasy XVI to PC, and only after that the DLC creation can move to the active phase.
