Larian Studios has announced that owners of the Deluxe edition of Baldur's Gate 3 on PC will not be able to play the game 3 days before the full release
Baldur's Gate 3, the upcoming RPG by Larian Studios, is currently one of the most talked about games and the developers are actively sharing new information and answering questions from fans. Thanks to this, the game's Steam post revealed what awaits players who have purchased the Deluxe edition.
Here's What We Know
Sometimes, in order to make players want to buy the Deluxe edition, they are given access to the game 72 hours before the official release. However, Larian decided to refuse this and all PC gamers will start the game on August 3. This is due to the fact that the game's release, which was planned for 31 August, was postponed, but not later, as is often the case, but rather earlier. However, owners of the Deluxe edition will still have a lot of exclusive (mostly cosmetic) content that will not be available to others.
The situation with PlayStation 5 is different. The game will be released on PS5 later - on 6 September, so Deluxe owners will still have access to the game 72 hours earlier and will start their playthrough on 3 September.
The developers also reminded that if you played the game in the early access, your saves will not be transferred to the full version, because the full release is so different from the early access that it is impossible to make the save files compatible.
When We Can Expect It
Baldur's Gate 3 will be released on PC on 3 August, and on PlayStation 5 on 6 September. A version for Xbox Series is also in development, but the release date is unknown. Now on PC, you can buy the game in early access, which is equivalent to the Deluxe version.
