A remake of the Japanese RPG Atelier Marie Remake is now available on Steam: The Alchemist of Salburg
Developer Gust has released a remake of the 1997 RPG Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salburg, which is also the first appearance of this game outside of Japan. The game is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
Here's What We Know
The plot of Atelier Marie: The Alchemist of Salburg tells the story of Marie, who is studying at the Royal Academy of Magic.
After the professor gives her an atelier, Marie has to create a unique item within five years. She is free to explore the surroundings and collect materials, fight monsters, and fulfil requests from the townspeople. During her journey, Marie can also recruit adventurers to join her business and solve more complex tasks.
The Atelier Marie remake features updated graphics, a changed soundtrack, tutorials, and improved gameplay. It has also undergone some quality-of-life changes, although its scope and scale are far from the same as in modern games such as Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End and Secret Key.
