Insider: the official announcement of the remaster of the legendary shooter Quake 2 will take place as early as next week during the QuakeCon 2023 festival

After the release of the remaster of the first part of Quake, it was obvious that Bethesda will also release an updated version of the second shooter of the legendary franchise.

Some time ago the mention of such a project appeared on the website of South Korea's rating commission, but now the authoritative insider billbil-kun has shared more details about Quake 2 remaster.

Here's What We Know

According to billbil-kun, the updated Quake 2 will be unveiled at the QuakeCon 2023 festival, which will take place from 10 to 13 August.

The remaster will have a simple name - Quake 2, and will offer gamers a slightly improved version of the 1997 shooter with support for modern technology and with actual controls.

Most likely, Quake 2, as well as the remaster of the first part, will be released on all current platforms and may be included in the Xbox Game Pass catalogue.
