Insider: Quake 2 shooter remaster will be released today during the opening ceremony of QuakeCon 2023 festival
Last week, famous insider billbil-kun reported that Bethesda is preparing a re-release of retro shooter Quake 2. Now the journalist has revealed its release date.
Here's What We Know
We won't have to wait long, as billbil-kun is sure that the Quake 2 remaster will be released today during the opening of the QuakeCon 2023 festival.
Recall, the developer did the same with the re-release of the first part of Quake (released it during the show).
According to billbil-kun, the updated version of Quake 2 will cost $9.99.

It is known that players should not expect big technical improvements. The developers will limit themselves to increased resolution, improved texture quality and modernised controls. Perhaps ray tracing will appear.
The game will be available on all platforms.
QuakeCon 2023 exhibition will be held from 10 to 13 August.
