Gothic isn't the same anymore: a blogger compared the remake to the original 2001 game - and not everyone was happy with it

Yesterday, representatives of the gaming press shared gameplay clips of the Gothic Remake demo.
Most gamers were satisfied with the updated version of the cult RPG, noticing that it became much more technologically advanced and more detailed.
A blogger under the nickname Cycu1 released a video in which he compared the remake with the original game of 2001 and the result was predictable.
Here's What We Know
The frame-by-frame comparison confirmed that the graphics of Gothic Remake has gone far ahead compared to the features that the developers from Piranha Bytes had. All objects in the game became much more realistic, got high-resolution textures, post-processing and dynamic lighting. The game physics has also become better - it can be seen on the example of a hanged man: in the original he is motionless, while in the remake he sways under the gusts of wind.
And if nobody has any questions to the technological aspect (although it is obvious that the remake is not a breakthrough game), then in terms of atmosphere Gothic fans think that the original was darker. They did not like that the game became lighter and believe that such a change will spoil the remake.
We would like to remind you that during Steam Next Fest, which will be held from 24th of February to 3rd of March, everyone will be able to try the demo version of Gothic Remake and make their own impression about whether Valley of Mines became worse because Alkimia Interactive made it lighter.
