SK Hynix is investigating to understand how its chips ended up in the Huawei Mate 60 Pro to bypass sanctions

Huawei Mate 60 Pro is one of the latest smartphones of the Chinese company. After the release, it became known that the device contains SK Hynix chips. The South Korean company has already launched an investigation.

Here's What We Know

SK Hynix has not cooperated with Huawei for a long time. Nevertheless, for unknown reasons, the chips of the South Korean company is used in the Huawei Mate 60 Pro, despite the sanctions. In particular, we are talking about LRDDR5 and 3D NAND chips.

The South Korean manufacturer officially announced that it does not supply chips to Huawei Technologies after the US authorities imposed export restrictions. SK Hynix also said it is conducting an investigation to determine the origin of the memory chips that are installed in the Huawei Mate 60 Pro.

Despite foreign companies not supplying Huawei with advanced products, SK hynix's memory is manufactured in China. Perhaps the appearance of chips in the Huawei Mate 60 Pro is related to this. Huawei itself refuses to comment.
