Taika Waititi reveals plans for 'Thor 5': The director promises that the potential fifth film will have a villain more formidable than Hela
Taika Waititi, the director of "Thor," has stated that the fifth film will feature a villain even "more formidable" than Hela, the Thunder God's sister who destroyed his hammer Mjolnir and, as you know, essentially brought about the end of Asgard in "Thor: Ragnarok."
Here's What We Know
In a special book for 'Thor: Love and Thunder' from Titan Publishing, which will be released on 19 September 2023, the filmmaker shared details about what we can expect from the next film and how important it is to continue the evolution of Chris Hemsworth's main superhero.
"What is left to do to him? It's got to be something that feels like it's carrying on with the evolution of the character, but still in a very fun way and still giving him things to come up against that feel like they're building on the obstacles that he has to overcome. I don't think we can have a villain that's weaker than Hela. I feel like we need to step up from there and add a villain that's somehow more formidable."
He also says he'd like to keep adding more and more weird and crazy creatures, monsters and aliens to the universe to fully utilise its cosmic setting. According to the director, "Thor" is an MCU franchise that really lends itself to big, inventive, colourful creatures, aliens and creatures from different worlds.
Based on Waititi's words, if the director manages to make "Thor 5", MCU fans can expect the God of Thunder to visit many colourful, different worlds, fight wild villains and face an enemy more formidable than Hela, making the fifth part very special.
When We Can Expect It
