Jack Black confirms news of his involvement in the Minecraft adaptation
Following the announcement that Jack Black, beloved by many for his role as Bowser in the adaptation of another popular video game, "The Super Mario", will appear in the world of Minecraft, the actor has finally taken to social media to confirm the news.
Here's What We Know
Black published an Instagram post where he shared a photo of himself reading the book "Minecraft Basics," with the caption "Actor getting ready."
Black is expected to play the role of Steve in the film, but very few other details are known at this point. In the original game, Steve is a silent, personality-deprived avatar that players can choose from a variety of skins.
The cast also includes Jason Momoa, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks, and Sebastian Eugene Hansen.
Jared Hess, director of the iconic and hugely quotable film Napoleon Dynamite, is set to direct, following the departure of Rob McElhenney and Peter Sollett.
