X-Men actress, Alexandra Shipp, is adamantly refusing to return to her role as Storm in the Marvel Universe
Alexandra Shipp has announced that she has no intention of returning to her role as Storm in the "X-Men" reboot.
Here's What We Know
"You know, what's kind of funny is no. Yeah. I'm not interested [in returning]," Shipp told Entertainment Tonight. "The thing is, what I love about the career that I've been able to form is that I can play many different things and at this point, I feel like I've done what I needed to do with Storm and I think that there are other women who could take on that role and really kill it and I support that. But for me, I just feel like I'm at a different place in my life".
Following Patrick Stewart's appearance as Professor X in "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" and the fact that Kelsey Grammer's Beast is now also in the Marvel Universe, fans are thinking that more characters from "X-Men," including Storm, could make an appearance in "Deadpool 3," which comes out on 26 July 2024. But apparently, even if those speculations are true, Storm's role will go to someone else.
