Tim Burton will direct a remake of Attack of the 50 Ft Woman
The 1958 cult classic 'Attack of the 50 Foot Woman' will be remade by Tim Burton with 'Gone Girl' and 'Sharp Objects' screenwriter Gillian Flynn for Warner Bros.
Here's What We Know
This isn't the first time the director has taken on remakes, having remade films such as Planet of the Apes (2001), Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005), Alice in Wonderland (2010) and Dumbo (2019).
Writer and screenwriter Flynn adapted her own novel Gone Girl for a feature film by David Fincher, and another of her novels, Sharp Objects, for an Emmy-nominated HBO mini-series.
It's safe to say that the "Attack of the 50 Foot Woman" reboot is in good hands.
As a reminder, the original black and white film tells the story of Nancy Fowler Archer, a wealthy heiress who encounters an alien that causes her to start growing to gigantic proportions. The cult classic has been part of a slew of science fiction films about giant men, including The Amazing Colossal Man and War of the Colossal Beast.
When We Can Expect It
The Attack of the 50 Foot Woman reboot has yet to receive a release date.
