Finally, Disney and 20th Century Studios have unveiled the trailer for the highly anticipated Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes film.

Here's What The Movie Is About

The description of the film from 20th Century Studios reads: "Director Wes Ball breathes new life into the global, epic franchise set several generations in the future following Caesar's reign, in which apes are the dominant species living harmoniously and humans have been reduced to living in the shadows. As a new tyrannical ape leader builds his empire, one young ape undertakes a harrowing journey that will cause him to question all that he has known about the past and to make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike."

Starring Owen Teague as Noah, a young chimpanzee, Kevin Duran as Proximus Caesar, a powerful leader who has mastered human technology, as well as Travis Jeffery, Lydia Peckham, Neil Sandilands, Peter Macon and Freya Allan.

With the release of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes in cinemas, the number of films in the Planet of the Apes series will increase to eleven, including classic films from the 1960s and 1970s. The great news is that you don't have to re-watch all 11 episodes to immerse yourself in the story, just check out the three films released in the 2010s.
