Dune: Part 2 grossed $81.5 million over the weekend in its home market and $178.5 million globally

Dune: Part 2 topped the weekend box office with $81.5 million domestically and $178.5 million globally. This surpasses the $40.1 million gross of 2021's Dune, which had the unique circumstance of being released simultaneously on HBO Max during the COVID-19 pandemic. The first Dune earned $108.8 million in North America and $433.7 million worldwide.
Here's What We Know
The film Bob Marley: One Love took second place with $7.4 million, followed by Ordinary Angels with $3.8 million, Madame Web with $3.2 million and The Chosen: Season 4, Episodes 7-8 rounding out the top 5 with $3.1m.
