IGN portal published a new video of Polish action-RPG Lords of the Fallen.

This time the attention was paid to the combat system of the game.

Here's What We Know

For fans of souls-like genre in Lords of the Fallen everything will be familiar and intuitive.

  • The game will be difficult, so frequent character deaths cannot be avoided, but the developers are trying to make sure that after each failure, the player will be able to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the enemy and analyse his own mistakes;
  • One of the main features of Lords of the Fallen is travelling between the World of the Living and the Realm of the Dead (Umbral). It will be reflected in the combat system of the game, because even in battles the player needs to use the mystical lamp to get an advantage in battle or to weaken the enemy;
  • The developers made a lot of efforts to make the controls comfortable, clear and responsive, so in Lords of the Fallen the hero has high mobility, and even heavy armour and weapons do not slow down their movement much;
  • If necessary, some animations can be interrupted, which is especially important in PvP battles;
  • the new Polish souls-like will have the ability to quickly switch equipment and weapons without stopping in movement. In addition, the use of healing items is somewhat faster than in similar projects, which also increases the dynamics of the game;
  • Lords of the Fallen features 12 weapons, with a wide variety of items in each category. They differ in both characteristics and appearance;
  • Weapons can be carried in each hand and combined as you wish;
  • There are a lot of weapons, but magic should not be neglected, as it can give the hero an advantage and cause significant damage to enemies.
