After the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the GSC Game World office moved to Prague, Czech Republic. The developers continued working on S.T.A.A.L.K.E.R. 2 in a safe environment in the hope that the creation of the shooter would soon be completed.
But the unforeseen happened. Last night there was a serious fire in the office of GSC Game World. According to Czech media, the third floor of the Ukrainian company's office, where the backup servers were located, was particularly badly damaged.
According to preliminary estimates, the damage amounted to 1.5 million Czech crowns ($66 000), but it is still unclear what damage was done to the studio's data, which were stored on these servers.
Fortunately, no people were injured.
