Rumor: no one is developing Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake is no longer in development

The public first learned about the remake of the role-playing game Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake was first revealed at PlayStation Showcase 2021, when the debut trailer was shown. Since then, we have not seen a single photo, new trailer, or gameplay footage. Probably, no one is developing the game anymore.

Here's What We Know

Journalist Jeff Grubb said during his podcast: "I just want to be clear, this game is not being worked on right now. That's it, period. This game is not being worked on in any way, shape, or form in any studio."

Initially, there was news that Embracer Group had taken over the development of the project from Aspyr Media and handed it over to Saber Interactive, but it seems that no one is working on it anymore.

Embracer Group refuses to comment on the situation around the remake and did not even mention the game in its recent quarterly report. By the way, Sony has removed the game's trailer from YouTube and explained it by "music licensing issues", but it can be easily found on other YouTube channels, so now the fate of KoTOR Remake is one big mystery.
