Supposedly Ubisoft has been subjected to a hacker attack
No sooner had the gaming industry to discuss the grandiose data leak of Insomniac Games studio, than there was information about an attack on another major company.
Here's What We Know
As reported by the publick vx-underground, a few days ago a certain hacker penetrated the servers of Ubisoft. He had access to a number of internal systems for two days!
The attacker planned to steal Rainbow Six Siege data, but Ubisoft's cybersecurity department was extremely vigilant, so all the hacker achieved was a few screenshots, which are of little value.
Ubisoft has yet to comment on the situation in any way.
The Threat Actor would not share how they gained initial access. Upon entry they audited the users access rights and spent time thoroughly reviewing Microsoft Teams, Confluence, and SharePoint.
