Everyone can pass Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown: Ubisoft developers have revealed the impressive availability settings of the new action-platformer
Ubisoft games have never been known for their many accessibility tweaks for gamers with disabilities. But it seems that the famous developer has reconsidered its views on the approach to creating games and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will be the most friendly Ubisoft game.
Here's What We Know
The company released a video dedicated to the accessibility settings of the new action-platformer. The developers recognised that the metroidvania genre has always been one of the most difficult and demanding to the skills of players, because of which such projects were not available to the general public.
Every element of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was created in such a way that almost anyone could pass the game with pleasure. The developers have added a huge number of accessibility settings of different categories, from text enlargement and increased contrast to help in overcoming obstacles and a little support during combat.
Players will be able to fine-tune the game's difficulty by adjusting the damage that enemies, traps and environmental objects can do.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown did not add QTE-elements and puzzles based on colour differences.
Among the advantages of the game we can't but mention "Memory Shards" - an option that allows you to make a screenshot and attach it to a specific place on the map, so that you won't forget to return there later and find out what is behind the previously inaccessible obstacle. Such images are saved in the cloud and will be available on all platforms.
Most of the described options can be tried in the free demo version of the game, which will be released on the 11th of January.
When We Can Expect It
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will release on 18 January 2024 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
