The developers of The Witcher remake will cherish the original game, but cut out outdated and unfortunate elements

The founder and head of Fool's Theory studio Jakub Rokosz gave an interview to Edge, in which he spoke about an important nuance of The Witcher remake development.

Here's What We Know

Jakub Rokosz worked for a long time in CD Projekt RED and took part in the creation of The Witcher 2 and The Witcher 3, but was sad that he didn't have time to work on the first part of the franchise.

As fate would have it, it was his team that CD Projekt entrusted with the development of The Witcher remake and now Jakub Rokosz got a unique opportunity to realise his dream in a certain sense.

The developer promises that the Fool's Theory team will take responsibility for creating an updated version of the legendary game, but he noted that over the years many elements of The Witcher have become outdated and some were originally unsuccessful, so his team will cut some aspects of the game or seriously work on improving them.

Obviously, not everyone will like this approach, but Jakub promises that those elements that have not become obsolete since 2007 and do not need rethinking will remain untouched in the remake.

Let's remind, at the moment Fool's Theory studio is finishing work on The Thaumaturge RPG and only after its release, which will take place on the 20th of February, the developers will thoroughly take up The Witcher Remake.
