It's a success! Elden Ring sales have surpassed 23 million copies in two years
Right after the release of the first trailer of Shadow of the Erdtree expansion for Elden Ring, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware revealed updated sales statistics of the famous action-RPG.
Here's What We Know
In the two years since the release of Elden Ring, the Japanese developers have sold 23 million copies of the game.
In March 2023, it was reported that the total circulation of the game was 20.5 million copies, therefore, almost a year sold about 2.5 million copies of the action game. Given the high complexity of Elden Ring and the niche nature of the souls-like genre, such a figure is extremely successful and fully reflects the game's top quality.
As a reminder, Shadow of the Erdtree add-on for Elden Ring will be released on June 21 on all platforms on which the game is available.
