Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will have the ability to slide on water without using a web to move around the city faster
Those who have played the Microsoft exclusive Sunset Overdrive should remember the game's mechanics, which allowed you to glide through the water as if you were on a skating rink. You can expect the same feature in Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
Here's What We Know
Aaron Jason Espinoza, senior community manager at Insomniac Games, said on Twitter that this is one of his favourite innovations in the game. He also added that it doesn't require the use of the web, and you can use this feature to get to different areas of the city.
The most interesting thing about this story is that Insomniac Games worked on Sunset Overdrive. Therefore, the developers will improve one of the gameplay features that they once used.
In general, this mechanic could be seen back in May at the PlayStation Showcase, but after journalists and bloggers published their impressions of the game on 15 September, it is difficult to keep track of all the details of the game (and some are simply forgotten), so the developers talk about what they like the most.
One of my favourite new traversal additions in #SpiderMan2PS5 is how you can glide across water. You may have heard it discussed in a few preview videos yesterday.

Some Insomniac history for you: it's similar to water dashing in Sunset Overdrive! pic.twitter.com/hzYbVwaVYB
When We Can Expect It
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is scheduled for release on October 20 on PlayStation 5.
Flashback
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a 3-person open-world adventure game that is a direct sequel to the two previous Insomniac Games titles: Spider-Man and Spider-Man Miles Morales. The story will tell how Peter Parker and Miles Morales became a full-fledged superhero duo and defend New York together. However, there are only more troubles. Venom and Craven the Hunter, who will appear in a Spidey video game for the first time in many years, are trying to destroy the heroes.
