Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) CEO and head of the PlayStation brand Jim Ryan is leaving the corporation.
Here's What We Know
Ryan has led Sony's video game division since 2019, launched the PlayStation 5, boosted the company's financial performance and significantly confused the plans of his rivals from Microsoft to acquire Activision Blizzard.
The official reason for leaving is fatigue and a desire to spend more time with his family, who reside in the UK.
Jim Ryan can be proud of the success of the company he led and Sony can hardly be dissatisfied with his work.
Ryan will step down on April 1, 2024 and will be replaced by Sony Group President and COO Hiroki Totoki.
