Here's What We Know
Publisher Konami and development studio HexaDrive reported that in the two weeks following the surprise release of Silent Hill: The Short Message, the game had over 2 million downloads.
This is an excellent figure for a short (1.5 hours) and niche game, which also had no prior advertising.
The success of Silent Hill: The Short Message showed that the modern audience is interested in horror games, and for Konami it is especially important in the run-up to the release of Silent Hill 2 remake. In addition, at least two more games of the franchise are in development: Silent Hill: Townfall and Silent Hill f.
It is known that Konami is recruiting a team to work independently on new games of the cult horror universe.
