Following the successful use of SCALP EG, France will continue to supply the Ukrainian Air Force with cruise missiles with a launch range of more than 250 kilometres
France has already handed over to Ukraine all the SCALP EG long-range missiles that were promised as part of the first batch. But the deliveries will continue.
Here's What We Know
The Ukrainian ambassador to France Vadym Omelchenko made such a statement. According to him, due to the effective use of SCALP EG, deliveries of long-range cruise missiles will continue.
The ambassador also praised the pace of arms transfers. If France or Ukraine officially announce deliveries, it means that the weapons have already arrived and are at the front.
France announced the transfer of missiles with a launch range of more than 250 km to the Ukrainian Armed Forces back in early August. At the same time, about a fortnight ago, President Volodymyr Zelensky first showed SCALP EG under the wing of a Su-24 front-line bomber. It is the Soviet aircraft that is the carrier due to the absence of Western fighters.
The video was shot on the afternoon of 6 August at one of the Ukrainian Air Force bases. A few hours after the event, the Su-24 struck the Chongar bridge in Crimea and a bridge in the Kherson region. It is possible that it was SCALP EG missiles that were used.
