Poland and the UK will develop the CAMM-MR anti-aircraft missile with a range of up to 100 kilometres to complement the PAC-3 MSE interceptors
Poland and the UK intend to arm themselves with CAMM-MR anti-aircraft missiles. The agreement has already been signed.
Here's What We Know
British specialists will take part in the development of the new anti-aircraft missile. This was announced in a press release by the MBDA company. MBDA signed a corresponding agreement with the Polish firm PGZ during the MSPO-2023 exhibition.
One of the strengths of the CAMM-MR will be its lower cost compared to the Patriot Advanced Capability 3 (PAC-3) Missile Enhanced Segment (MSE) missile interceptor, for Patriot air defence systems. The launch range will be 100 kilometres and the altitude is not specified.
Poland plans to use CAMM-MR missiles in Narew air defence systems. The short- and medium-range surface-to-air missile system is aimed at intercepting aircraft, helicopters, drones and cruise missiles.
