On September 22, 2023, Sevastopol was again under attack. The target was the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.

Here's What We Know

At approximately 06:00 (EDT) or 03:00 (PDT), a missile strike was launched against the Black Sea Fleet headquarters in Sevastopol. The attack was officially confirmed by the local occupation authorities. Residents reported strong explosions and published photos and videos of the consequences of the missile strike.

The Ukrainian Defence Forces could have used Storm Shadow and SCALP EG air-launched cruise missiles or modified Neptune anti-ship missiles for the attack. You can watch the video from Sevastopol below.

Note that this month cruise missiles destroyed the Rostov-on-Don submarine , the large landing ship Minsk and the S-400 Triumf air defence system. In addition, the command post of the Russian Federation's Black Sea Fleet was hit two days ago.
