Ukrainian company Promin Aerospace will test a small launch vehicle in 2023

The Ukrainian startup Promin Aerospace, despite the ongoing war with Russia, is preparing for its first flight test of a launch vehicle.

Despite the war, the company intends to test small satellite launch technology in early 2023. Misha Rudominsky, CEO and co-founder of the startup Promin Aerospace, made the announcement.

The research laboratory is located in the city of Dnipro, but the head of the company does not name the exact address, as the city is regularly subjected to missile attacks. At the same time, Promin Aerospace cannot move to another location because the employees live in Dnipro.

The company planned to expand its staff in 2022 and sent out a batch of letters on Feb. 22 asking for funding. However, due to the Russian invasion (Feb. 24), the startup had to make adjustments to its plans. Promin Aerospace focused on designing with funds it had raised earlier. In addition, the company received $100,000 from Google in late summer 2022.

Promin Aerospace has agreed to test the rocket at a spaceport in Scotland, but it is possible that the tests will take place in Ukraine. Within the framework of tests the rocket of Ukrainian company will rise to a height of 100 meters.
