News, reviews, articles on the topic Exynos
According to insider @Jukanlosreve, the new Exynos 2600 will be more powerful than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Apple A19 Pro. In particular, its NPU (neural processor) will be 6 times faster than the one used in the iPhone 17 Pro and will outperform Snapdragon in artificial intelligence tasks by 30%. But even outside AI scenarios, the Exynos 2600 shows impressive results: multi-core CPU performance is 14% higher, and the GPU is 75% faster than the Apple A19 Pro and up to 29% faster than the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Perhaps this will happen in no small part because the Exynos 2600 is manufactured (as insiders claim) using a 2-nm process, while competitors from Qualcomm and Apple are made using a 3-nm process.
According to the latest reports, Samsung is planning to equip the Galaxy S26 series with a new Exynos 2600 processor developed on the basis of 2nm process technology. Previously, the company intended to use the Exynos 2500 for the Galaxy S25, but due to the low yield of the 3nm process, it had to opt for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite. Now Samsung is making another attempt to introduce its own chipset in its upcoming Galaxy S26 flagship devices.
Samsung is planning to bring back its Exynos chips to the Galaxy S26 series. While the Galaxy S25 series is likely to use only Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chips due to production issues with the Exynos 2500, the company intends to rectify the situation with the release of the Galaxy S26.
Samsung may be planning to use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor in its upcoming Galaxy S25 flagship smartphones and this processor will account for about 20 per cent of the total cost of the device due to the price hike. Samsung Exynos 2500 may be cheaper, but it will only be available by summer 2025 in the Galaxy Fold 7 and Flip 7.
Samsung's new Exynos 1580 chip, likely destined for the Galaxy A56 smartphone, has been tested on the Geekbench platform.
According to recent reports, Samsung's Exynos 2500 processor could surpass Apple's A15 in terms of power efficiency. Technoblogger @MappleGold at X revealed new details about the upcoming Exynos flagship processor.
Samsung has started testing a new processor that is expected to be used in the next Galaxy A56 smartphone in 2025.
In light of recent rumours that Samsung is having trouble producing its new flagship Exynos 2500 chip, and that the price of Qualcomm's next flagship chipset may increase, it is reported that Samsung may make a surprise decision on the processor choice for its upcoming Galaxy S25 flagship.
Samsung is still considering using its Exynos 2500 chipset in its Galaxy S25 line of smartphones for most markets. This decision could become a reality if the company can improve the manufacturing performance of the new chip.
Recently we wrote that Samsung might be equipping most of its smartphones with its own Exynos chips. Rumours on this topic continue to appear and now another insider has reported that this is likely to be the case.
Samsung has significantly increased its reliance on Qualcomm for high-end chipsets in recent years. Flexible screen smartphones have remained exclusively Snapdragon-powered, and the Galaxy S23 series also used Qualcomm's chipset exclusively. Samsung brought back Exynos only this year with the launch of the Galaxy S24 lineup, although Snapdragon variants exist in some markets.
