On November 7, Metro Awakening was released and in honour of this, the previous games in the series received a big discount on Steam.
The game is available on Steam VR, PS VR2, Meta Quest 2 and 3.
Metro Awakening immersed me so deeply in its post-apocalyptic world that I saw the destroyed metro tunnels in my dreams for several days in a row. Vertigo Games managed to make a great spin-off to dilute the anticipation of the next 4A Games adventure. The game's story perfectly complements the Metro world, revealing a very important character for the series and showing factions that appeared only in the books. And the gameplay, taking into account the specifics of VR games, gives you an experience that is hard to forget, especially if you are almost putting on a virtual reality helmet for the first time. So, gg's editorial team went down to the Moscow metro to explore its new story, because almost 5 years have passed since Exodus was released and we were waiting for the opportunity to kill mutants, bandits and see the paranormality of this destroyed world with our own eyes.

Metro Awakening will be released on 7 November 2024 and will be available on Steam VR, PS VR2, and Meta Quest 2 and 3.
We would like to remind you that the game is not the main one in the Metro series, as Awakening takes place in 2028. And the game is being developed not by the Ukrainian studio 4A Games, but by the Dutch Vertigo Games, which is known for the Arizona Sunshine series.
Now is probably the best time to get acquainted with the series

In March 2024, Saber Interactive spun off from the Embracer Group holding. However, the company had the right to buy out the Ukrainian studio 4A Games. The problem is that Saber has Russian roots, so this would clearly affect the future of the Metro series in a bad way, but this will not happen (fortunately).
The ruins of post-nuclear moscow are beautiful!

We wrote that the First Person Shooter Festival started on Steam earlier this week. There are a lot of games there, but the Metro series deserves special attention, which takes the player to Russia destroyed by nuclear war. It was developed by the Ukrainian studio 4A Games, and now the entire series can be purchased for a ridiculous price until 22 April.
The Ukrainian studio 4A Games is known worldwide for the Metro series of post-apocalyptic games. However, as it turned out, the studio is also working on a new IP in addition to the new Metro instalment.
