Musk, have you heard? The founder of Twitter is developing a new social network
Jack Dorsey, the founder of Twitter, Elon Musk bought Twitter for $44 billion and immediately fired the previous management, is not going to abandon his work on social networks and is already working on a new one.
Here's What We Know
The project is called Bluesky Social, but so far there are very few details about it. We know that it is a "decentralized social network", among the main functions and principles of which the developers call "account portability", "algorithmic choice", "interaction" and "performance".
Simply put, users will be able to transfer accounts from other social networks and move between multiple social platforms using just one app. At the same time, they will be in control of sending data.
For now, the Bluesky Social project is being tested in closed mode, but according to a blog post, it should be publicly available "soon."
When asked if Bluesky Social would compete with other social networking sites, Dorsey said that it is a competitor to any company trying to take over the basics of social media or the data of the people who use it.
