The Bayraktar TB2 made its maiden flight in late spring 2014, and the company conducted a weapons test the following year. Its baptism of fire took place in 2018. Since then, the drone has been used in various military conflicts.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces were particularly active in using the Bayraktar TB2 early last year, when Russian troops were moving in columns towards Kyiv. Production of Bayraktar TB2 and Akinci could be set up in Ukraine in 2025.
