Britain wants to buy 10,000 drones of various types for the Armed Forces of Ukraine

UK Defence Secretary Grant Shapps has announced an increased aid package of £325 million for the purchase of 10,000 drones.

Here's What We Know

Grant Shapps and Chief of the General Staff of the British Armed Forces Tony Radakin met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Defence Minister Rustem Umerov during their visit to Kyiv.

At the meeting, it was announced that the UK would allocate £325 million (previously reported to be £200 million) to supply 10,000 drones of various types. For example, FPV drones, 1,000 strike drones, as well as reconnaissance and maritime drones.

Earlier, we wrote that the UK and its allies are working on the creation of autonomous drones united by an AI system. They are needed to work in swarm mode and push Russians from their positions.
