The iPhone 17 Pro will be the first Apple smartphone to get Face ID sensors under the screen
Insider and founder of Display Supply Chain Consultants Ross Young has revealed some details about Apple's future top-of-the-line smartphones.
Here's What We Know
According to the insider, Apple will start installing Face ID sensors in Pro-versions of the iPhone under the screen in two years' time. That is, we are talking about the iPhone 17 Pro models. What's interesting is that the new products will still have a cutout for the front camera. The company wants to get rid of the holes completely in 2027 with the release of the iPhone 19 Pro.

By the way, Ross Young also said that in the near future, Apple has no plans to migrate the base models of iPhones to LTPO matrices. New products will receive such screens with 120 Hz support only in 2025.
