Forecast: By 2027, Apple will have completely switched its smartphones, laptops and tablets to OLED displays
Apple is gradually switching from LCD to OLED displays in its gadgets. And analysts are confident that the company will fully complete this process in the coming years.

According to analysts forecast Omdia, by 2027 Apple will stop using LCD and mini LED displays and will completely switch to OLED. Thus, mobile devices, laptops, tablets and computers are predicted to be equipped with such screens in 2026, and the only model with an LCD display at that time will be the 10.9-inch iPad.
The report says that the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro displays will apparently switch from Mini LED to hybrid OLED by 2024. And the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models will switch to hybrid OLED displays in 2026.
Analysts also told us what to expect from the iMac. According to them, 32-inch models will switch to QD OLED or WOLED displays by 2027. In addition, Apple is expected to release a new 42-inch iMac. Incidentally, the Pro Display XDR is Apple's only existing product with a 32-inch display, and there are currently no 42-inch units.
Analysts add that global OLED display shipments will grow rapidly from around 9.7 million units in 2022 to more than 70 million in 2028.
