Excalibur Army presented a prototype of the Morana 155-mm howitzer on the Tatra Force 8x8 chassis

Czech defense company Excalibur Army presented a prototype self-propelled wheeled howitzer Morana.

What we know

The unit is built on a Tatra Force 8x8 chassis. The howitzer is equipped with a 155 mm cannon of 52 caliber. It is mounted on an armored turret. The novelty combines the strengths of light Truck Mounted Guns and heavy artillery systems.

One of the main features of Morana is the ability to start firing 40 seconds after entering the firing position. The gun fires automatically without the need for the crew to leave the cockpit. Pointing and charging is also done right in the cockpit.

Morana received an advanced diagnostic system that collects operational data from various artillery systems. The received information can be sent to a higher level to determine the level of combat capability of the ACS.
