Ukrainian soldiers arrived in Germany to learn how to use German self-propelled anti-aircraft guns Gepard.
What we know
Lübecker Nachrichten reports: the training began at the grounds of the German armed forces in Schleswig-Holstein. Now there are about 100 soldiers of the AFU at the exercise.
Recall, Germany will transfer 30 Gepard to Ukraine already this summer. This self-propelled air defense gun is meant for covering land forces, destruction of air targets at a slanting range from 100 meters to 4 km and at altitudes up to 3 km flying at 350-400 m/s, as well as ground and surface targets at a range up to 4500 meters. By the way, Gepard is built on the chassis of the tank Leopard. The unit is being produced by Krauss-Maffei since the mid-70s.
