The Armed Forces of Ukraine spectacularly destroyed a rare Zoo-1 radar station
The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck at the positions of Russian troops and destroyed the Zoo-1 radar station.
What we know
Video of the destruction of Russian equipment was published by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. Together with the "Zoo-1" the Armed Forces eliminated several units of automotive and armored vehicles.
Despite the fact that "Zoo 1" is a rare Russian radar station, the video is interesting not by what was destroyed, but by how the strike was carried out. The Main Directorate of Intelligence does not specify what weapons were used for the attack. But there are several versions.
The first version is the AGM-88 HARM missile, which is designed to destroy radar stations. On the other hand, six shells were fired at the position of Russian troops. This suggests that the strike was carried out by the HIMARS multiple-launch rocket system. The third option is the M982 Excalibur high-precision projectile.
There is also a version that suggests the use of several munitions launched from the German Panzerhaubitze 2000 artillery system. Thus, the first strike was carried out by M982 Excalibur, the second and sixth by SMArt 155, and the third, fourth and fifth by standard shells for the German howitzer.
