Western countries have promised Ukraine more than 300 tanks in total

Allied countries have promised to transfer a total of 321 heavy tanks to Ukraine. This was reported by the Ukrainian ambassador to France, Vadym Omelchenko.

The ambassador did not specify which countries he was referring to. Germany recently approved supplies of Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine and allowed the re-export of tanks to partners, so according to media estimates, European countries alone will transfer about 80 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine.

"As for the delivery time, it varies on a case-by-case basis. Some need maintenance, others are dealing with logistical issues, others are waiting to receive other models to give the ones they give," Ambassador Omelchenko explained.

According to him, it is important that Ukraine receives these tanks as soon as possible: "If we wait until August or September, it will be too late".
