Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy Russian Strela-10 surface-to-air missile system with GMLRS projectile
The Ukrainian Defence Forces have destroyed the Russian anti-aircraft missile system Strela-10. The air defence system was hit in Donetsk Region.
Here's What We Know
The Russian "Strela-10" anti-aircraft missile system was defeated by soldiers of the 56th separate motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They used an M270 / LRU / MARS II or M142 HIMARS multiple rocket launcher with high-precision GMLRS rounds.

The Ukrainian Defence Forces are also armed with Strela-10 surface-to-air missile systems. They are designed to destroy air threats at altitudes up to 3.5km and ranges of up to 5km. We recently wrote about how a Ukrainian SAM destroyed Russian drones.
