Ukrainian defence forces destroy self-propelled launcher of Russian Tor-M2 SAM system worth $25 million
Another Russian Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system has come under attack. Ukrainian defence forces destroyed the 9A331M2 self-propelled launcher.

The Tor-M2 surface-to-air missile system costs about $25 million. In addition to the 9A331M2 self-propelled launcher, it includes a target detection station with an antenna stabilisation system and a guidance station.

The air defence system uses M338K anti-aircraft guided missiles, which can engage air threats at a range of up to 12km and at an altitude of up to 10km. The ammunition complement of the anti-aircraft missile system is 16 missiles.
The video above shows the destruction of a 9A331M2 combat vehicle in the Zaporozhye region. According to Oryx, the Russian army has lost about 20 self-propelled launchers of the Tor-M2 complex in almost a year and a half, at least two of which were captured.
