Ukrainian FPV drone Pegas and HIMARS destroyed a pair of Russian 2S5 Giatsint-S self-propelled howitzers
The Ukrainian Armed Forces have once again used the US HIMARS missile system in counter-battery mode. It destroyed a Russian 2S5 Giatsint-S self-propelled gun.
Here's What We Know
The Russian army lost a self-propelled gun in the Zaporizhzhia region. The Ukrainian Defence Forces destroyed it with M142 HIMARS using only one GMLRS shell, supported by aerial reconnaissance from the 128th Independent Mountain and Storm Brigade.

Another Giatsint-S self-propelled gun was eliminated in Donetsk region. But this time a Pegas drone was used. The kamikaze quadrocopter costs hundreds of times cheaper than a GMLRS shell.

Ukraine's defence forces regularly use FPV drones. Such drones are capable of hitting manpower and equipment, and their cost is $300-1000. For example, the day before we wrote how six FPV drones for $2100 destroyed two combat vehicles and one armoured personnel carrier.
