Silent Hunter is manufactured by Poly Technologies, a Chinese company. It claims that the system uses an electrically powered fiber laser with a power output of 30-100 kW. The maximum range is 4 km.
Silent Hunter can burn five 2-mm thick steel plates at a distance of 800 meters or one 5-mm thick plate at a distance of 1 km. The main purpose of the system is to destroy enemy drones at low altitudes.
