Turkey once again tested a 2.5 kW ALKA laser weapon to destroy UAVs with speeds up to 150 km/h
The Turkish defense company Roketsan continues to test ALKA laser weapons. The system, designed to destroy drones, recently underwent another round of tests.
Here's What We Know
The directed energy system is designed to eliminate small drones. ALKA can fight against single drones or against groups of UAVs.

The laser has a power of 2.5 kW. It is capable of striking unmanned aerial vehicles at a distance of up to 500 meters. Radar facilities can detect air objects within a radius of 4 km. The system also includes electronic warfare (up to 1 km).
ALKA supports simultaneous tracking of several targets. The laser system will be useful in destroying unmanned aerial vehicles whose speed does not exceed 150 km/h.
