Romanian Air Force F-16s intercept two Russian Su-27 fighters in NATO's area of responsibility

The Carpathian Vipers detachment of the Romanian Air Force intercepted two Russian fighters. An official statement was published on the Facebook page of the Romanian Air Force.

Romanian fourth-generation F-16 fighters were alerted by the NATO Air Operations Centre. They flew out to intercept two unidentified aircraft that had entered NATO's area of responsibility.

The F-16s identified the planes as Russian Federation Air Force Su-27 fighters. The Romanian F-16s returned to base after successfully taking both Su-27s out of NATO's area of responsibility.
