US approves $250m sale of AGM-154C JSOW bombs to Morocco, following HIMARS and ATACMS
Morocco will be able to buy more than just M142 HIMARS artillery systems with ATACMS and GMLRS missiles from the US. The Department of State has approved the sale of the AGM-154C Joint Stand Off Weapons JSOW.

African country will be able to order 40 bombs. The Defence and Security Cooperation Agency of America (DSCA) website indicates that the potential deal will cost $250 million. In addition to the munitions, the contract includes training bombs and additional equipment.
The AGM-154C JSOW is a tactical guided guided air bomb weighing about 500kg. The warhead weighs 225kg. It is designed to destroy fortified targets and can hit targets at ranges of 24-130 km, depending on launch altitude.
The AGM-154 JSOW is in service in Australia, Canada, Finland, Greece, the Netherlands, the United States, Poland, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Singapore, the UAE and Turkey. The JSOW in Morocco will be carried by F-16 Fighting Falcon fighters.
