$215,000,000 contract: US orders Aerojet Rocketdyne to upgrade and produce Javelin, Stinger and GMLRS guided missiles

The US Department of Defence has awarded a contract to Aerojet Rocketdyne.

Here's What We Know

Information about this has appeared on the Pentagon's official website. The contract is for $215,000,000. It includes upgrades as well as increased production of FGM-148 Javelin MANPADS, FIM-92 Stinger MANPADS, and guided missiles for multiple launch rocket systems.

The money for the contract is allocated under the Additional Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act. That is, in this way the U.S. will replenish its stockpiles of arms and ammunition, as some of them have been transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to fight Russian invaders.
