Poland buys AGM-114 Hellfire anti-tank missiles from the US to be used with AW 149 and AH-64E Apache Guardian helicopters
The Polish Ministry of Defence has ordered AGM-114 Hellfire anti-tank missiles from the US.

The announcement was made by Minister of Defence Mariusz Błaszczak. The contract was signed today, 30 May. The estimated purchase price is $150 000 000. The Polish army will receive a total of 800 missiles. The sale also includes technical support, logistic support, software and spare parts. The contract is scheduled to run until 2029. The first deliveries of missiles will start this year. Incidentally, Poland will use AGM-114 Hellfire missiles with AW 149 and AH-64E Apache Guardian helicopters.

Flashback
The AGM-114R2 Hellfire is one of the latest versions of the Hellfire air-to-ground anti-tank missile. It has laser guidance and a multi-target warhead. The missile weighs 46kg. It is capable of hitting targets at distances of up to 8km.
