Portugal to give Ukraine 14 US M113 armoured personnel carriers and a battery of 105mm howitzers
The Portuguese Defence Ministry has announced a new military assistance package for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It will include US armoured personnel carriers and howitzers.

Portugal has officially announced that it will provide Ukraine with 14 more M113 armoured personnel carriers and a battery of 105mm artillery pieces. The latter probably refers to American M101A1 howitzers.

It is worth noting that Portugal has handed over M113 armoured personnel carriers to Ukraine before. In particular, in mid-spring 2023, the Iberian country's authorities announced the provision of five M113-based medical evacuation vehicles. In total Ukraine received from Portugal 45 M113 armoured personnel carriers in different configurations.
