Ukrainian military began training on German Gepard anti-aircraft tanks, which Germany bought from Qatar
Servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have travelled to Germany for training on Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns, Ukrainian Ambassador to Ukraine Oleksiy Makeyev has said. This was announced by Ukrainian ambassador Oleksiy Makeev.

The training takes place at the training ground in Putlos, Schleswig-Holstein. After completion, the servicemen together with anti-aircraft tanks will go to Ukraine.

The Gepard in the video has a distinctive desert camouflage, which suggests that the anti-aircraft self-propelled launcher came from Qatar. A few months ago it was reported that Germany would buy 15 Gepard from Qatar along with ammunition for transfer to Ukraine.
The FRG started supplying Gepard last year. The official website of the German government states that the Ukrainian Armed Forces received 40 anti-aircraft tanks and 6,000 ammunition for them in almost a year.
